Most interesting.

A little clue there, eh Pete? "Axe" could refer to the shape or the name or just that it's a guitar...

When I think motorcycle, I think flames..

Ok it's not a JP and I dont think it's a AL either, because the edge of the guitar where the input jack is, is rounder than a AL would be. I think it might actually be a black LUKE that Pete got a hold of that had a rosewood neck...and maybe routed it out for a HH configuration with those pickups?

I think I got it! It's a Luke III that he stole from the Factory and he's repainting it to make it look, like a modded Luke II. :D

Ok the guitar will be shot in white pearl and the artist who did the Dead Man's Cigarettes album cover for us will be doing the artwork on the guitar. Some of the graphics will be similar in theme to the album cover, while the rest of it will be personal (to me not him!) He sent me some teasers and we are working out a few more details before the brush hits the canvas. The artist (Peter Nogas) is a big fan of ours and has supported us through the years and he has incredible vision with painting, sculpting, etc. Last year when the topic came up of an album cover he jumped right up and said he wanted to do it for us. How could we turn that down!?!? We are playing a gig in Oct that he is arranging to benefit the Wounded Warrior project. Oddly enough I'm not really a big fan of skulls but his cover artwork just rocked it for the band, and afterwards I presented him with the idea of doing a guitar for me for the new album.

Obligatory album cover shot below.

5 cigs in the Dead Man's mouth for the 5 guys in the band (non-smokers)
Five 9s located on the canvas

Ok I got an update this morning and the white pearl has been shot and the "Axe" is curing.

Here are 2 more artwork teasers that might be incorporated but in this form they haven't yet made the cut.

More when I get more!

Right now the plan is to have it finished by April 19th so I can put it back together in time for our gig April 21st.
