I've been enjoying CDs from Norm and Keith for a couple days now, and I gotta say that you guys rock! Norm's Unclassified CD has a pretty ecclectic variety of technically and musically inspiring pieces on it from ranging from very contemporary feeling pieces that almost qualify as soundscapes to instrumental covers of some well known classic rock. Keith's Mildly Contagious is the kind of technically excellent but infectious instrumental rock/jazz that I use to inspire me when I'm coding, so it's immediately found it's place in my "at work" rotation - along with Lukather & Carleton (No Substitutions), Lenny Breau (Live at Bourbon St), Carl Burnet ( Life Before Midi) and Johnny A. (get inside) this week... Thanks guys for the great music! :D

Carol Burnett? Didn't know she played.

Thanks Jimi...but please tell me that "coding" isn't slang for pleasuring oneself :D

Calling the music infectious instrumental rock/jazz is one helluva nice thing to say/hear.

In fact, I was planning on calling our next cd HIGHLY INFECTIOUS and having more of a rock focus. IDOL HANDS (my steve Morse inspired tune) was going to open the cd. Obviously that ain't gonna happen with the band breaking up.

Now hoping to find a violinst and try to record and play live as maybe a duo.

KEITH

PS As one who has also SEEN Norm play, Norm's playing live is even more impressive. VH, Steve Morse, and original stuff that looks really challenging to play and sounds great.

Oh yeah, well I just figured out most of Keep On Rockin' in the Free World! I just can't figure out that second chord.

:)

Actually I cannot concur more! (Even if I spelled it right!) Keith and Norm are very fun, very exciting and dare I say sexy! I enjoy both of their discs immensely and reccomend them highly to anyone that likes instrumental music. There is great stuff on both of them!

Now back to my own virtuoso training!

(I swear it sounds like a 'D' ...)

I'll give you the second chord if you show me how to play one of those "dropping d" chords the kids keep talking about.
