I'm a hardtail fan myself and have owned 5 of them through the years although I only have one at the moment - a '97 S/S/H (I also have a penchant for the S/S/H configuration!). It's my "go-to" guitar and I did a club gig with it just last night - and will probably use it at another gig tonight. The necks on the Axis just suit my hand perfectly.
