Here is my NOS Pearl Lavender Sterling. How NOS you may ask? Her Birthday is 6/9/2000. Still had the original factory installed slinkys. In the case you can also see a 1999 catalog as well as all the original case candy. The polish cloth was dusty as hell, I shook it out and it went poof.

Slapped a new set of strings on it, lowered the action a tad, and its a nice little funk machine now. Even though it weighs slightly more than my Bongo, it almost seems like a toy in comparison. But its like I said though, they don't get much cooler than this.

Here is the bass with all the case candy:

Head Shot and no I didn't pick these strings because they had purple silks, kinda cool though:

I am required by law to say that I would prefer rosewood, but that is such a cool color that I am tempted to break the law.

You think Chuck Norris monitors the forum?

Nice score, Paul.

In general I think I would prefer rosewood too, but I think I pretty much exhausted all my luck finding a NOS in my favorite EB finish ever. This will make a nice counter to my Single H Bongo on order.

I would love to find a Stingray in that color someday, but I'm with Jack on the rosewood.

Congrats, that is really beautiful!

I like the color. It reminds me of grape flavored lollipops.

Bah you rosewood folks! Maple is where it's at!

Show me a maple Bongo and I'll show you a new Bongo convert!

Anyhoo: Congrats!
