Awesome Paul.

Great pics, and I think the maple looks cool on that one. Not to mention finding it NOS is almost impossible.

Beautiful, just beautiful! I love it!

My next Sterling will have a maple neck, cause I already have a rosewood one. I have a mix of maple and rosewood basses, they all sound different though so I can't really say which one sounds better because of the fretboard wood.

Um, this is the one that was by you. So, at this time I should probably give props to Slamzilla. Its due to him that I got this bass. Slam, in case you haven't figured it out yet, this is the bass that was at Straight Music that you told me about. And it wasn't used, it had actually been sitting there for 5.5 years. Glad you are diggin the Lava Bongo, I like the Sapphire Black, but it is going to have to make way for my Candy Red Single H soon.

Oh man, I just saw this thread today and man, I must say that Lavender Pearl is one of my favorite colors. That Sterling is beautiful (though I'd probably prefer rosewood). Great find!

One more thing you guys need to know about this bass. Pictures don't do it justice. It is even better looking in person than the pictures make it look.

I played this bass last night and I have to say that it's probably one of the best playing Sterlings I've ever had in my hands. I'm still not a fan of the smaller neck, but this one sounds great.

Paul's new Ashdown/Bergie rig is just perfect for his place too!
