Saw that and had a similar reaction. I've been looking for a 2005 LE 6-stringer to "hold" for my son (an idea I got from the guitar side), and the same seller had a 2005 LE JP similarly overpriced. I'll just keep looking, I think. ;)

For some reason this thread set my teeth on edge.

So you think that price for a new bass is too much? Well in the US of A it is, but for all of us living in other parts of the world that price is pretty much what we'd pay in a shop.

So maybe: "Wow look how expensive stuff is in Taiwan" would be more appropriate...

I think the thing of it is. Its not a new instrument so it doesnt really warrant "new" pricing (no matter what the title says! its a 2005!). And its not like its a super rare or vintage bass. I see buttercreams way more often than blue dawns or any other LE's. Even from Taiwan its a bit much. And this is like the 3rd time he has relisted it at the same price!

They cost more in stores here... if you would be able to find one...

PS: The standard DG SR4 HH I have on order lists at 3.490 CHF, which is more or less 3'400 USD.

wow, dollar being what it is right now, that makes no sense. I think someone is milking it a little. Most likely a distributor.
Well I hope Warwicks and such are cheaper for you over there.

Indeed Warwicks, Sandbergs, Status and other european brands are generally cheaper here of course, but there is always less difference in that direction for some reason.

This seems priced pretty reasonably, it's about what it should go for pretty much anywhere apart from the USA if it's never been used to be honest
