Hello,

Lifetime ernie ball string player here. I've generally always played on the heavier/thicker side of string gauges. I've always been able to achieve my desired gauges through most of the ernie ball hybrid sets or ordering singles from the site.

Recently with my new 8 string I've had to resort to buying DR Tite Fit 11-80. I really enjoy the 80s. I want to play Ernie balls but even with singles I can only get a 74. I'm not asking for a new production set, which would be awesome though, but is there a possibilty of singles coming out in the range of 78-80?

Thanks in advance

If you have a locking bridge, you could go with the 80 gauge bass string singles. Otherwise, the bigger ball end would probably cause some problems.
