Not looking to ruffle any feathers but is there a PDN on the horizon for this year or is it now a thing of the past?

Apologies if this point was addressed recently; If it was, I must have overlooked the thread.

No idea ... I don't think it's been discussed on the forum this year.

Well it's been discussed by some of us die hard fans - going something like this, "gimme, gimme, gimme!" :) - but agree no official word from EBMM.. sigh...

We have reached this agreement, there is no need to discuss it any longer :

PDN 2016: "pink champagne" sparkle, gold hardware, roasted neck, stainless steel frets!:):):)

All jokes set aside, I'd like to have MM and forumites opinion about this :

MM produces fantastic PDN runs every year with great appointments. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to buy "even more special" instruments. Thanks MM.

But it's always woods, colours or hardware; so here's is my question :

Why not changing to "unusual" electronics on a PDN run? Example : all guitars would have P90's or an active preamp/boost such as in the Luke III.

Now, I'm not pretending MM should do it, nor that it would sell, nor that it's just possible but what do you guys think about it? Would it be a crime to imagine a Luke or a Morse or a JP with P90's or an "unsignature" electronics? Would it betray the spirit of the guitar-artist concept?

Thanks for the input and for the thrill, BP. We'll keep on waiting...

I'll keep holding my breath - not exactly beating a drum on the pink sparkle but that would be INTERESTING all right! :)

Looking forward to another PDN. Any chance we could do a vote on the forum if you give us let's say 3-4 options?! White sparkle JPXI 7 has been a dream of mine lol.

I would assume a vote would be a very messy situation. What happens when the model we vote for isn't the one that is the one selected by the group? Personally, I like the "surprise" of the PDN and the urgency to pick one up. I'm still kicking myself for missing the 2012 HoneyRoasted and the 2014 Neptune Blue run... But there will always be something to give me GAS. And if something doesn't make the cut for this PDN it can always been used in some capacity down the road.

Are you all reading between the lines like I am? I think what BP is saying is, "Reflex PDN, high quality maple top, color options are pink, purple,Neptune blue, tobacco burst, all rosewood neck, chrome hardware on pup covers and knobs, ivory tuners". Lol:D:D:D:D

The PDN refers to Premium Dealer Network. These dealers offer a yearly edition of MM models that display unique specificities : woods, colour, ss frets etc.

Ex : PDN2014 had mahogany body, ss frets, roasted necks and the ultimately cool neptune blue colour.

These models can usually be ordered within a very short time frame and are build to order.

Magic Jason thanks for the answer. So based on the past, how much money should I have saved up for one of these 2016 PDN's if the factory production schedule permits it. Also do you order it from Music Man or must you go to the nearest dealer?

Pricing is generally very close to what a regular model costs - so not a big premium on these - and, yes, order through a dealer as EBMM doesn't sell direct.
