I honestly don't know what the resale on those will be. The popular opinion seems to be that they are way overpriced, and there seems to be a backlash against them. Just for comparison, I recently purchased (about 2 months ago) a Bullseye Charvel Strathead. I paid around $2100(a good price, since I did no preorder it)for it. I have tried numerous times to sell it, and I can't give that thing away. remember they made less than 90 of them, they have NOS Brass Parts, and a Strathead. Everything all those Hardcore Charvel guys wanted. I go and put it up for auction twice the most I get offered is $1300(from Germany) for it. Now I realise I'm gonna lose some money on it but almost a 1000 buck, no way. Look at all the Bullseyes (or 25th anniversary guitars)that are just sitting at Dealers, I know of at least 3 well known online dealers that haven't even sold 1 yet. Also all the places that are selling the EVH guitars are still listing them for sell, meaning they haven't even sold their stock of a few alloted guitars. I would like one but, I too am starting to think that they are overpriced, 1200-1500 dollars maybe, but not around $2600(street price). The new Charvels are well made guitars, but they have no resale value. Not that EB's rise in value, but they also cost way less than Charvels.

Vince brings up a really good point: you know the EBMM EVH will retain its value - the Charvels won't. Get the EVH now, then wait a year or two and pick up a used Charvel stripey for $1500...

well, you may be right about the resale on the charvel. if i get a really low serial #, i may try to turn it around really quick while the buzz is still on (that is if i don't really like the guitar that much).

if i can move it quick, i may buy another EVH EB!

I put the deposit on the charvel long before i bought my EVH EB. i didn't realize how nice the EB EVH guitars were. i sold my wolf to get the EB. i'm sure the charvel wil not be nearly as nice of a guitar.

i'll have to see how it goes, if i had all the guitars that i have bought, sold and traded...i could open up my own guitar center!!! :D

I'm sure you'll like it, like I said they are high quality guitars, made to rock. I'm with you I want one also. The only reason I wanted to sell my Bullseye was that it is a 1 3/4 neck which is wide and I just am not "bonding" with it(especially if you are used to The Axis/Wolfgang neck), but the EVH is going to be a 1 5/8 which to me is perfect. All I was saying is that don't buy one expecting to flip it for a profit(I don't see that happening). I'm sure whever you got it from has a return policy, really check it out when you get it, make shure it's what you want, and enjoy it if you keep it.

BTW- when will everybody learn that EB cannot be beat for Quality when it comes to price. Try saying that for Gibson

STOP buying up all the EBMM EVH's !!!
Save a few out there for me to choose from. ;)

But seriously, IMO ... I would maybe hold out before buying anything.
Rumor has it that EVH and Charvel are designing a whole new guitar based on the EBMM/Wolfgang design.

Tell ya what ... If you're THAT deadset on one of those Art Series Charvels, I'll take one of those EBMM EVH's off your hands to help ya out. :D

(where do you find all of these EBMM EVH's?)

Just from the location of the switch, I'd say EVH.
Did they ever make an AXIS with the switch located there?

IT IS AN EVH ALREADY. Sheesh. My friend is selling it as I'd stated before....and I can tell you I DEFINITELY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AXIS AND AN EVH. Plus I've got 10 pix of it.

Yes in the interim before Dudley made the alterations, the guitars were sold the same way sans the signature, for about a year or less. The Japanese version the Axis EX still has the same setup.
