Comments? Tort on Blue Pearl? I think I like it, but I'm not sure.

I could do it to my SR5 instead - both are identical Blue Pearl/Rosewood with White Pearl pickguards.

Is the body that blue color that almost looks black in some conditions? If so, that's what mine is. I'm actually rather fond of the basic black guard that's on it. The best it ever looked is when I got it with black tape wound strings on it. With its unlined board it was super cool looking, Unfortunately I didn't really like the strings.

I find the EB color selector rather frustrating. It's kinda cool, but it really doesn't acurately convey what the basses really look like. And then there are lots of combinations that don't exist. I'm not conplaining. It is certainly better than just seeing a square of color. I'd just rather see them in person.

Yeah i'd definatly go for it, but I could be bias as I dont like white pick guards at all, on any guitar.

Well, I've had the following on the Sterling at one time or another, and still have them all:

* Black, on the bass new
* Black pearl
* White pearl, the universal pickguard
* Abalone, which I'm going to save for a natural fretless someday

There's a bass in a display ad on TB that is blue with a tort PG, and it's been bugging me for months. I think I'm going to keep an eye out for a tort and give it a try.
