I dont think that the AL is a great blue dawn because of the very large pickguard. The back is nicely bursted but the top will be slight

I had thought of that pickguard issue, and I thought maybe, I ought to save the AL for a BFR something or other like what we saw in the torture threads. I don't know... I want an AL, and I want a blue dawn. Hmmm...maybe it's time for the Bongo or Silo Spec. Luke would be sweet, but I think I want a BFR.

You gotta wait until they are offered first. Then you simply goto your friendly EBMM dealer, I'd recommend Pete/Nick Dubaldo.

How does one go about requesting / purchasing an AL BFR?

Yeah. What Glenn said. It's possible that they'll be debuted at summer NAMM. So, it might not be too long of a wait until you can order.

I thought of getting the blue dawn LE AL more so for the option of a rosewood board, but after seeing the BFR AL thread that's what i'm ordering this year....Don't know what pickups though:confused: .

well i dont care how the LE AL looks really, and i'm sure it will look FABULOUS in Blue Dawn, I ordered one anyway!! Mostly because of the rosewood board option, in fact that was the deal clincher for me. Really looking forward to a rosewood AL w/trem and SSS, it has to be the greatest strat killer.

Congrats on the order Rob....The rosewood fretboard would be a deal clincher for myself also, but man those BFR AL'S are looking mighty nice, and i could only really afford one guitar this year....So will see.

Rob, remember it's cheaper to keep her. You might start thinning the herd to make room for that BFR.

I thought that the rosewood board and blue dawn would be the deal clincher for me. I asked BP in Dallas whether or not the AL would have a rosewood board. He said they didn't know at that time. Then, in this very thread, BP told me to go BFR for the AL. Just the mere thought of a BFR version made me back off, but man...AL with rosewood. I want one. :(

Dude -

I sold 6 guitars (including a blue and a gold EVH with ridiculous tops), 2 half stacks & a combo just so I could get married! I'm thankful for the 2 balls I do have (or don't have ;) )

Yah my wife has kind of drawn the line as far as getting anything new. To get one, I gotta get rid of one. This makes it a tough call. Hence one of the reasons that I sold the JP, also I wasn't bonding too it like I do my others.

Roburado, you'll figure out which one you want, but as Koogie says, it's an addiction and I have to fully agree. There will always be people selling 07 LE's and BFR's on the bay. You may pay more, but get the one that you can afford and want.

Robelinda2, I think we are gonna have to stage an intervention here. Dude look in the mirror and see what is happening. Hahahahahahahaha.
