Thinking About New Pick Guard for AL HH

Hi All,

I purchased a new AL HH a couple of weeks ago (African Mahogany with black pick guard). Love the guitar the rosewood neck and fretboard is fabulous. Don't care much for the colors. I am thinking about replacing the pick guard to spiff it up. Has anyone else replaced the pick guard on this color combo? If so, what color did you go for? Can you post pics? Was it difficult to replace? Where did you get the pick guard?

Hi, you could get the Albert Lee HH pickguard here Pickguard Heaven: Prices - Music Man
As for what color on that model.. maybe copper pearl, tan conch, or tortoise shell..
but it's a personal taste thing ya know

Well, African mahogany body wood is standard for all HHAL's, but that's not a finish.
I'll guess that you got the trans walnut which seems to be popular lately??

That what my first HHAL has, which I bought some years back. Mine came with a pearloid scratch plate *see pic

...not sure what other color would look good on that finish...probably quite a few!

fwiw, this is where I bought a replacement for my DDAL.... These guys n gals know what they're doing for sure!

Yes, it is the trans walnut finish.
