How about a clear Bongo? BP originally wanted to make the Bongo out of something other than wood, Lucite baby!

It would be hard to pose naked with one though, but then again with the curvature of the Bongo shape there might be a magnifying effect... Ok, not one of my best ideas. Carry on. :D

I'm putting the black guard back on. I love that the clear guard shows more of what I think is the best finish ever on a Bongo, but looking at the pics, I can't help but think that it went from "sunglasses" to "reading glasses".

Try this.

1) Put on what you would wear on stage.
2) Strap on the bass with Clear pick guard.
3) Look at yourself in mirror or have photo taken.
4) Repeat 2 & 3 with Black pick guard.
5) Now, decide.

Bryan, the real advantage to the clear guard is you can cut out outrageous art stuff and put it under there....change it whenever you feel like it....but I think that color doesn't really call for that kind of treatment. But hey, buy some wrapping paper! Paisley! Naked cherubs! Skunks! Give it a shot, you never know.

But the black looks good.

I was think a very light % of automotive window tint. Would be easy to cut and match the PG. Best of both worlds, some finish showing throught... and signature round EBMM PG goodness. JOSH
