Personally I've never understood the guitar signing thing, but tastes differ, so why criticise?? There seem to be very few arguments on here and people are very helpful. Coincidentally (or maybe not???) another similarly pleasant place is the Rickenbacker forum whose CEO also posts regularly and comes across as a real gentleman.
So maybe the forum reflects the guy in charge as the others said

I am planning on getting my JP signed once it comes in Lefty. I am going to get the back plate sign though. I have not heard any bad things about JP, pure nice ones. It would break my heart if he turned out all.................... **cough** yngwie **cough** lol

Some of us old schoolers can remember this forum before BP got addicted to it...and it was respectful and helpful even back then.

Throw in his involvement and the chance to meet fellow players and company employees at the bash events he throws and it brings the community to a whole 'nuther level none of us expected or even probably dreamed of.

Anyone who was at the desert bash and took part in signing the 1-off black sparkle AL Sterling was making for Rob at a time when robs world was teetering, knows how special this place can really be. And how great.

One thing I'd like to see is more people posting clips of their nice guitars to go along with all the photos. You know its sooo easy to record nowadays. I'm reluctant to posts tons of clips because, well, almost nobody does it.

I think people are too inhibited to expose their playing to a crowd of players, some very good players at that. But I'm interested in hearing the guitars more than how they're being played. Would love to hear more clips, especially those that feature the guitar and amp, maybe a pedal when specified. Not so much those which run through digital modelers and heavy processing gear.

And you can be assured my family will never forget the amazing generosity and sincere goodwill of all you guys, and of course Mr Ball. Every time I see that guitar.....
