Never seen Island burst look so vivid and bright. So killer!! I love the gold hardware too. And good lord, a rosewood neck as well ! Just thought i'd share.
That's because it's not JUST an Island Burst. It's a mix of Island Burst and Cherry Burst. Plus, the Koa top is flamed.
But I agree, it looks killer. Only 1 in the world
My Koa JP7 should be landing within a couple weeks here! Customer Service told me it was done being built, just waiting to ship out. I put a request for a flamed piece of Koa, they said they'd look for their flamiest piece.
Flamed or not, maybe seeing another Koa will make you bite the bullet!
Played a Koa JP6 at Guitar Center the other week, one of the best-sounding (and looking) guitars I've ever played...I need one!!!!!!!!!! This one might be even more beautiful.
Wow and that's Misha's guitar? Good for him. Periphery is some of the best new music I've heard in a long time. Hope he plays more ebmm stuff to spread the gospel.
Funnily though, that guitar is actually NOT a Koa guitar, meaning it doesn't have the regular JP6 Koa woods. The only thing that is "Koa" about it is the Koa top and the golden hardware Other than that it's a BFR guitar, with the Alder body and all that.
I did want to see it when Periphery recently played in Colorado, but alas, it was nowhere to be found. Misha has so many custom made 7 and 8 strings I swear he posts a new one almost monthly. Jackson, Mayones, Daemoness, Bernie Rico Jr, Blackmachine, etc. I specifically went to to the show to try to meet him and talk to him about this exact guitar and get his opinion of the wood combination. Anyhow, it was a good show and they are all talented players.
