this forum is costing me $$$:
i arrived here w/a sterling and a SR4, wanting a SR5. i saw very positive feedback on the SR5, bought one, and became addicted to low B. when i 1st saw the Bongo I thought it was butt ugly. i listened to the rave reviews here & went to my nearest GC to see what all the hoopla was about . . . suddenly it's not so ugly and I'm looking to free up some cash . . .

Bongo pics in white? anyone?

Yeah, you're right. I came here very satisfied with my new SR4 and now I think I will have to have a Bongo very soon.

BassCentral.com has a nice white Bongo 4 on their site.

I would like the Bongo more if EBMM counter-sank the control cover on the back - that really bugs me. Why didn't they do that? looks great on my Sterling

Yup, Bongo Number Three.

Carbon Blue, four string, single coil/humbucker, 3 different pickguards included so I'll have a choice.

Also right on the mix - 3 Bongos, 3 Fish, 2 Jazz basses. One of the Fish might be a temporary visitor, though - sounds too much like a Precision for me, heh heh.

Although now there is a rumor that there is an orange Fish on eBay. Can't be confirmed just yet, but item number is reportedly 3719389058.

Just a rumor, that is all, back to your regularly scheduled programs.

hmm, im diggin that blue pearl bongo on bass central, but that pickgaurd has got to go. no es bueno. but yea. anyone got 2 grand i can borrow? :D oh yea, and being a woodworking kinda guy, i dont think counter sinking the control plate would be that hard or messy of an undertaking, but i agree, mm should have done that at the factory, and i can understand why nobody has done it. its a $2000 bass. im probably gonna buy a leo quan badass II for my p-bass pretty soon, and then counter sink it, just to be different, and ill let yall know how it goes so you can start breaking out the tools to sink the control cover.

I think "I LOVE BOVINE" should be everyone's signature line.

But seriously, you're very welcome. Tell Gard that Jack sent you, he'll hook you up.
