Well, the Luke isn't here, and probably won't be until late Jan/early Feb, but I went into my local store- guitarguitar in Edinburgh, and lo' and behold' two new Axises had appeared. A low key Amber and a lovely quilted trans blue.

And I want one!!! I picked up the blue one, asked for it to be plugged into an AVT150 like mine and, oh my goodness...what a guitar! I'd played them before but always through much more expensive gear which could make most guitars sound good. But the Axis pulled the AVT150 together beautifully. I've always been a bit disappointed in the AVT to be honest, mainly when I played my Jem 777BGV and then the Universe 777PBK through it. But it wasn't the amp, either that or the Axis is an extraordinary guitar, but it just all sounded glorious...and a lightyear ahead of the Universe through the same amp!

And I haven't even gushed about just how beautifully made it was, how well it played and....

The problem I now have is that I want one, and I want it in Pearl Blue Burst with matching headstock. And bugger, the UK distributors are expecting just such a guitar in February as well  I was hoping they'd say the waiting time was 6 months, not 2.

Do I say "sod it" and risk divorce, extradition from my family and friends and bankrupcy and buy teh February one, or place an order, ignoring that one, and wait for the proper waiting period. The shop are being even meaner, they've asked for the Feb one anyway as shop stock (they're currently selling any they get) so temptaion will be dangled in front of me in 2 months

The only good thing is that I already have 25% of the price as credit, after deleting the piezo and vint sun from the Luke, at the store. Wonder what my credit card limit is these days.....

Steve, the Ibanezs are gone. The Jem was sold to finance the Universe and the Universe sold to pay for the Luke. The Luke is already paid for. In fact, I paid too much as I've since deleted the piezo and the vintage sunburst from the spec....going for carbon blue instead. So, I have £300 credit for the Axis, but that still leaves me to find £1000 in 2 months which I don't think is feasible!

You should say "sod it" just 'cause it sounds like something fun to say.
As for my opinion and the loose American translation
Just say "What the F**K" and buy it already :D
