I searched but couldn't find this (easily) but I'm sure people have seen this before. So I'm sorry if this is a repeat post, but I couldn't resist, me being a newbie here. For some reason I'm worried I'm gonna get banned.

I don't think the Bongo I ordered looks anything at all like this. Anyhow, it looks like a F*nder headstock.

To all the people who say Bongos look like toilet seats, I fart in their general direction!

I dont think it would be that bad except the horns do kind of look like the edges of a toilet seat. So i guess in a way its like an inside out toilet.

Actually, I found the early prototype hanging on the wall above the men's room door at Joe's Crabshack on Harbor Blvd in Anaheim a few years ago.

Prototype?!?! I think that's a later model. More comfortable contoured body. I just realized that these redefine "sweet spot".

Indeed, the white ones are rare. It's hard to find them pure white without brown pickguards.

Stop it.

eating at Joe's Crab Shack here in Tucson was one of the most miserable dining experiences I've ever had.

Steve-o, feel like taking a drive down here for dinner?

Ya mon..I'm looking for any excuse for a drive right about now. Just got the Mercedes tonight at Karen's house...spending Father's Day cruising my Pop up to Wickenberg and back up Highway 60 in it for a drive but what's it looking like next week??

Perhaps instead of rare, I should have said no longer offered as a color option? Proportionally, still rare.;)

Ah! I see the light grasshopper!

I didn't know it was no longer offered!

Jeez, Fogman. No need to post the pictures of my white fretless since you've posted every picture I've ever taken of it. And, you posted my futon, my couch, my deck, the grassy area at the bottom of the stairs, my kitchen table.... :D

You missed one, though-

My Kung Fu is still strong :D !

They actually are fairly rare. You only have three different basses posted. Six of those pictures are all the same bass--mine. And, I believe one of those pictures you posted is actually of Pete's Buttercream fretless, too.

If any Bongo was ever going to look like a toilet, it was going to be my white fretless with an abalone guard. Or, my white fretless with the mint guard if you want to pick a different node on the bathroom visit timeline.

I actually keep thinking about a brown/cream/brown pickguard for Moby, the white whale.....

Friday I'm biking. Saturday and Sunday, I'm free. Although, I'm driving up to Durango on Monday so I gotta take it easy sunday night. I'll try calling you sometime in the early portion of the week. I'll find out what NorM is up to as well.

My heavens, I never noticed before how the white ones with the black pickguards look like toilet seats.

And if there is a little bluish with the pearl, it's tidy-bowl time! Hey, if we can't make fun of ourselves...
