...what do you guys use for a guitar strap? Well, besides an Ernie Ball strap!!:D I've been using a Getm Getm tribal strap with my Terry McInturff Taurus Standard because I like to wear it slung down low like a punk and I'm a rather big guy (6' tall with a little too much surface area in the stomach area!!) so the Getm Getm stuff is perfect since they are really long when need be. I've found with my JP6, I wear it up a little higher and I've been using my standby Franklin leather strap but it's not very comfortable. What are you guys using? I don't know if I want to go with something with more padding and/or just switch to a nylon strap like my Getm Getm so that the guitar slips around a little more on me.

No harrassment. I use a planet waves with my bongo, but I had to tape the crap out of the adjustment do-hickies as it would slide while I was playing.

There was a thread not too long ago about EBMM testing some new straps. Hope it comes out as I will buy one in a minute.

I'm a freak and like to color match or theme match the strap to the guitar, so I use whatever fits.

The y2d has a purple lightning Levy's strap, the JP, Axis Sport, and Albert Lee have blue EB straps, the Kramer has a skull strap, etc....

^^^ Geez, I don't think I put that much thought into what I wear to work. ;)

For me, I'd certainly love to have another couple of leather EB straps (hint you guys in SLO ), I had them before and they were great. However, when they started selling for 100-150 on eBay, I couldn't resist selling them off. Otherwise, I just use a nylon strap.

To be fair to Pete, I actually did buy a red strap to go with my red guitar, but all the rest are just black. ! ;)

Planet Waves Planet Lock straps are great. No mods to end pins and completely secure. Fit the EB/MM end pins perfectly and do not scratch the guitar. Only thing is I've only found them in black. The Planet Waves Satriani straps look cool and offer a slick feel to them that won't hang up on your clothing (unless your Dave Navarro).

i have a nylon ernie ball strap
but due to my height
having the strap at the right length puts the plastic slidy part right on the bone of my shoulder :(

JP - Levy's black leather strap w/ dunlop black strap locks. Looks great with the Envy Green.

My other guitars have whatever I picked up when I needed one.

I don't use a strap with acoustics - I always sit down. When you stand up playing a big ole dreadnought you look like some hayseed  Oh wait . . . I do live in the middle of nowhere, have chickens and own a tractor and a pickup . . . I guess it's time to go strap shopping.

What kind of straps do you use with your Martin? ;)

EB Nylon straps. Love 'em. Wear the EB logo loud and proud.

And like Pete, a matching purple one for my Y2D.

I use Levy's leather straps (the nice, padded, rather expensive ones) with Schaller strap locks... It's nice 'cause I can mix and match straps and guitars at will if I feel so inclined, and you really can't beat a nice Levy's leather strap imho...

Most of my straps can be found on these pages in the Levy's catalog:

Levy's "Carving Leather" Straps
