I use the EB nylon straps and pretend that they are EB leather straps. :D

Speaking of color matching straps, what else do you think would look cool against a white sparkle JP6? My Franklin is black. I suppose sky's the limit with a white guitar.

Anyone own an Eyeland strap (I know LEE SKLAR uses 'em)

I, too, need something either wider than my Levy strap or padded. After 2-1/2hrs of playing, my shoulder aches all the next day.

On a more serious note.....I've tried quite a few guitar straps and like this style the best:

http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-EAG-J5-BLK.html

Although I don't have any "Eagle Mountain" branded I have 3 that are pretty much exactly the same. Two are "American Musical Supply" branded and one is "Wayco" branded. I do wish they had a 3" or 4" version like that, though.

For my Axis, I just use a non-padded Ernie Ball strap. That guitar is light enough that I don't really need a padded strap.

BTW, I have Schaller straplocks installed on every single guitar and strap I own.

I picked up a Planet Waves nylon comfort strap (very wide and some padding) today in black, gonna give that a whirl for a little while with my JP6. Just slapped my Schaller strap locks on it. If it works out, I may get another for my TCM Taurus (it uses Dunlop strap locks, nothing is easy!!).

I use a planet waves with my bongo, but I had to tape the crap out of the adjustment do-hickies as it would slide while I was playing.

I got one of those Planet Waves straps when I bought my Albert Lee.
I took it back and got a refund (the strap that is!!) because those damn locking adjusters keep opening up. It came to something when a mate of mine handed the AL back to me and it nearly fell off the strap - after I had initially adjusted it for him.

I now use a British second world war army belt with an extension buckle, and using a tip from Jonny Dubai, a Grolsh "stopper" to keep the strap on the button.

My Les Paul has "Pickboy" locking buttons which replaced the Les Paul originals.
I bought them in the 80's.

A friend of mine owns a leather shop and would make a guitar strap to any specifications and ship anywhere.

PM me if you need any more info.
