So I have probably done more playing in the last 4 days than I can really remember doing in a four day period. Consequently I appear to be developing a new blister on my index finger that was already calloused somewhat...fun!
First of all the bass is a stunner, and the color is incredible in person. One of the local GC's has a Sterling in MG, but this color looks even better on a Bongo. Fit and finish was excellent coming out of the case. Sound is great although a little mellow for my tastes. I had it strung up with Sadowsky Flats and while it sounds good, I think I want a more aggressive sound and less tension. Most likely sometime this week I will throw the slinky's back on and order a set of TI jazz rounds from the Dude (when will he be back?).
The bass is super responsive to changes in right hand technique, but not very forgiving on left hand technique. I am finding that when I use to much of the pad of my fingers to 'fret' that I get a thin sound from the D and G strings past the 4th fret. I tried raising the action a bit on those strings and it help a little bit, but its not quite there yet. I need to adjust my left hand technique and have already found that I am hearing less and less of this thinness, so we will see how it goes.
The single H is a great fretless sound. My biggest concern right now are the piezos. All of the piezo dials are turned completely up, and it seems like I only get about 75% of the volume of the magnetic pickups, and to be honest the only tonal difference seems very slim, like the mag except muted and with a slight thud. I think doing some experimenting with some different strings is necessary. For all you other piezo users how do you compare the volume between the Mags and the piezo?
Overall I am fairly happy, but a little concerned with piezos, I definately need to spend some more time with it.

ive got a med gold bass on order and was getting cold feet on the colro, but no longer ... so thanks
