thru-body music man bass bridge

Hi.
I am a happy owner of music man stingray EX (made in Japan) of 2001, according to the date under the neck. Music Man's online support cannot provide any information on a guitar assembled in Japan. I have a thru-body bridge installed on my guitar. I would like to know if this is a good rework in the workshop or were there any guitars in 2001 that had such a bridge installed?

What a great color. I have the same bridge on my 2006 StingRay and it is also string thru body.

I found this thread. It looks like the EX did come in a thru-body (TB) model.

thanks everyone for the replies. added some photos of my babyaxe. When I bought it, 18V preamp Aguilar obp-3 and seymour duncan basslines were already installed

Here is another example of an EBMM strings-through-body StingRay, this one being from early 2002, finished in Gunsmoke Silver. It was part of a limited run of 100 basses EBMM made for their Japanese distributor. This particular instrument was part of the run, however was sold to an EBMM employee at the time.
