Hi everyone!
I used to have a strange and annoying tick/cracking sound from the strings when I used the whammy bar. I could hear it very clearly when i had the amp turned up loud, and it was kinda annoying. At first I thought it was from the saddles or something... atleast i could swear the sound came from that area... but after reading these forums someone suggested to use lubricant (Big Bends Nut Sauce to be exact) on the nut, under the strings. Thank God for that! I didn't have BB Nut Sauce, but tried some other lubricant and the ticking-sound vanished :)))

So if anyone has the same problem, try this before doing anything else that you will regret. :)

I had the same problem when the guitar was brand new. Hopefully it disappeared after a month or so.

I had a squeaking noise coming from the trem posts on my BCB AL - I used wd 40 with the straw that came with the can and sprayed a VERY small amount onto the posts - the squeak disappeared straight away.

Glad you solved your "noise".

Welcome to the forum.

I've got it now when bending the G string, I knew it was on the nut. I was planning on putting some graphite on it when I changed the strings, but I've been too lazy to change strings for so long
