I like ya and all Trav, but the idea of tort on CAR is hideous! The only thing worse would be tort on LP Blue (which some people dig too). Tort is reserved for white/natural/black in my book. CAR should have a nice white or mint.

I think that black ice, python, and moonstone can also look very good on red. I guess I just like the darker palettes . . . . . to me, white just glares too much on a nice deep finish like CAR.

I like red with white, sort of reminds me of one of my Dad’s cars he had, a CAR 66 Mustang convertible with a white top, it was gorgeous! I’m trying to decide on my next bass too and I’m leaning toward Radiance Red with a white perloid guard lefty Bongo 4, but I’m having trouble deciding what pickup configuration. I truly understand the desire to have one of each and I plan to have one of each, I’ll soon have a HH Bongo and that leaves the single H and the H/S… decisions, decisions…

So I am down to the following:

1. Sapphire Black Bongo 5 HH, king of all Bongos.
2. Blue Pearl Bongo 5 HSC, about which I am still not sure - I shall gig it soon.
3. Flaming Biff Bongo 4 HH, even cooler than Dargin's Bongo! (There, I said it.)

woo hoo. my goal of owning more sterlings than jack's got Bongos is almost a reality.

my HS comes in a couple weeks and the HH will be here in a couple weeks + 4

Folks!! Wife is wife therefore descision has been made. Dargin and BP may have a lot of pull but I don't think either can offer what the wife does.
