Right folks,

All year you've nailed them down in price, bitched to them, and even got some free stuff, this thread is for you to show your appreciation of your retailer and or distributor, 2009 has been a pants year for the UK retail market, and to be blunt we're lucky to have what we have still standing (don't turn this into a bitch about Europe pricing please...) - As a private trader for the last 15 years it's been impossible to make money this year- your retailers and distributors have worked their asses off, even if you didn't see it.....

Me First! -

Living so far from civilization as I do my local music shops suck, so I'm forced to go further afield, Sound Control (May she rest in peace) has some offshoots but for me Machinehead (DaveB) is the best in price service and delivery: - He's also one of us - so it's not an exercise in explaining your addiction,
Secondly Pete Lunney of Strings and Things is a LEGEND, and I've spend more money on Ernie Ball Musicman products after speaking to him than anyone else in the entire family.- Pete is threatening to retire next year, and whilst the fellas at Strings and Things are all top guys, who use the product as well as sell it, well, they've got some big shoes to fill - And remember folks, his lemonness arranges the UK BAsh and many other gigs that you're lucky enough to get invited to.

DaveB, Blind Lemon, thanks a lot for your help and support this year, 2010 shaping up (arm pending) for another batch of balls,

Cheers fellas.

Great thread Smelly and one of the most worthy ones of the year.

Yes, it's been a tough year. Whilst I managed to sell 2 Fe'ders, I still didn't have the cash to buy a 25th. May have missed out but do have my eye on Luke BFR at Machinehead. I've bought from them before and Coda Music too. Great guys to do business with.

Thanks also to you Smelly for keeping us so amused during the year and sharing your hopes, fears and joys too. It's been an honour getting to know you a little more and I'm sure working harder than ever to get to LIMS next year.

All the best to BP and his magical team and finally a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to my fellow knuckleheads.

Smelly- I'd like to reiterate what you said about Blind Lemon.
He is a star - an absolute gentleman - a great guy to hang with, and his son and grandchildren live in South Wales so I hope to see him over the Xmas period.

First BP, Dan and everyone at EBMM - great people, great guitars. And all my friends here on the forum, family, bandmates etc.

I'd like to particularly thank a gentleman by the name of Bob Cowans. Not sure if Bob is still alive or not, last I heard he was running a pawn shop in Hendersonville, TN, but when I was a young dude just starting out Bob ran a local music store by the name of Whitey Lunzars. Whitey's whomped all over the Columbus area with a very impressive inventory. Bob allowed me to spend way to many hours hanging around (I was probably 15-16 years old) playing and trading guitars, amps etc. I would not be the guitarist I am today without Bob and I am forever grateful.

People to thank?

For me, all the fine folks @ EBMM and all the great people here on the forum. I do believe my Super Sports are far better guitars than I worthy of playin' at this point in life and I have learned many things since joining the forum a few years back.

Also, I'd like to thank Brent from The Guitar Shop and Pat and Andrew at Long & Mcquade - great guys who have helped me find my sound and develop a taste for great guitars, cool amps and a few other helpful hints 'n' stuff :D:cool:

cheers always, eh

I would like to thank the fine folks at EB for sponsoring the recent JP clinic I was able to attend. I learned alot from this clinic, and it has inspired me to practice with more dedication than ever. So thanks from a fan.
