Hi folks;

Does it normal to see this cracks on a brand new majesty guitar for such high price and high end guitar?, Whether or not it’s a cosmetic or a deep problem, what should I do?, should I call the seller in order to replacement with a new guitar?

I’m so sad right now!.

looking forward to hear anything from you! EDA55EC5-D759-40DE-B851-55A9AD4FA1E7.jpeg 65D930A9-6775-474E-9533-947A9FFAC4DE.jpeg

When you look closely, is it truly a crack or rather a line/seam where the surface under the paint isn't perfect flat? It looks like the neck is painted over the side of the nut, and you're just seeing a line where they're not perfectly even, which would seem common. On other brand guitars I own where the neck paint goes over the nut, there are such seams visible.

If you look closely, this picture seems to show the same line. It's hard though to find pictures at this angle. Maybe another Majesty owner can confirm.

So… you have a plastic nut and wood that let’s say were flush at some point and finished over. These two materials have different expansion coefficient when humidity and temperature changes. So wood will be constantly shrinking and expanding much more than the plastic. So eventually the finish will develop a tiny crack as it’s bound to both and will be constantly bending where two of these materials contact. It’s normal and you should not worry about it.

Like everyone else, my first thought looking at the photos was that it's not a crack but a witness line because the paint is applied over the nut. As Rbg says, finish cracks (on any guitar from any manufacturer) may eventually happen due to expansion and contraction, and also anywhere there is a corner (because stresses build up in corners). But they are always purely cosmetic and not structural in any way.

If you are still not happy, you are in Amsterdam and thus covered by EU laws (and Dutch laws may offer even more protection) and calling the seller is the correct course of action. If the seller agrees that you have an issue to be dealt with under warranty they will look after you.

It's just like this one, and after reading all of the comments and internet users who have the majesty and reported this story, I'm very sure it's normal, and now I can take a deep breath and be happy! :)

man cant tell from the pics, was it packed properly? really does not look like a stress crack which normally occurs on the bolt ons in the neck pocket
Yes packed like a wall around the guitar and it's softcase, after reading all the comments, I learned it's something usual for the majesty!.
