1. RHCP, victor wooten, marcus miller, 311, Matthew Garrison, TNJS cough cough (www.purevolume.com/tnjs), and many more

2. Piezo is a kinda of pickup, its on the bridge and it makes the bass sounds more upright-ish i guess, i've never had one

3. super market

Welcome to the board, slayer. Here's a great tip: Read the sticky topics on the top of the board. They've got tips on how to navigate this board well.

The piezo are pickups that on the saddles on the bridge. They detect the vibration of the strings individually. They do, as Shaver said, make you sound more like an upright, but piezo seems to do best with the fretless models.

Hi Slayer .. don't have much to say tho .. Less than Jake for a punk Ska band has a great bass ! especially cause it's a sterling

you 'd might want to get some Led Zeppelin.. some say that John ain't a real blues bassist( knows how to play it but no emotion ) but I still like his bass lines , Blues Traveler are awesome ! .. well for me I 'd tell you to look up at some Ska and Blues , Funk and stuff , but by your name I'm sure you know couple of Metal Bassists that knows how to crank it up . and just toy with the bass ^^ nothing is better than playin' a 8h of bass just for fun , just for the sound of it , for the feelin' ! ( note that my bands above do really use slap 'xcept Blues traveler , but their lines are as sweet as slapping and sure you'll get plenty of fun to play that )

What the others said... but at 14, I guess you might find some of them a bit uninteresting. Go and check out Primus, particularly "Tommy the Cat" from the album "Sailing the Seas of Cheese"

I'd be interested in a scan of that, if that was possible. I transcribed it a while back and would be interested to see how close my version was to that of a pro transcriber. The tab versions on the web are pretty inaccurate as usual.
