I just can't stand it, everytime I change my strings on my '79 Sabre the bow in the neck becomes greater and I need to adjust the neck again to get a lower action. It drives me crazy. I also change the strings one at a time to keep some tension on that neck during a string change. I love the sound it makes but I can't stand having to adjust the neck and use the heavy guage strings to keep the neck straighter. I was thinking a graphite neck or possibly a new neck but I do not want to chop up the body for any modifications.

Opinions welcome...

Yep, that's mine Gav. I nabbed it off ebay when Darrin pointed me to it. I can't remember if I ever sent you the serial number: C004246

I guess all I have left to say is that, if you ever sell that bass, let me know or let me know when you hear of a Cutlass I or Cutlass II (preferably) for sale... I'm now determined to get one

If I decide to let it go I'll certainly try to keep it in the EB family. I doubt they made very many of these.

Maybe my Sterling HH in Dargie green will make it obsolete!

I have two older Stingrays in trans red (an '83 & '87) and I agree it's a great looking finish.
