In real life, everybody loves the look of the Bongo. Last w/e two fests....got rave comments about the Bongo at both of them. We were staging to go on next on Sunday and the sound tech walked right past my two guitar players Les Paul/Ibanez/Telecaster/SG right to my stand and looked a the Bongo....said, "You got the good stuff." And then there is the sound....

:) Awesome!! Indeed, you got it!!

Bongo's are a cult. Bongo's were my revenge. The Bongo means that you don't mind being a little different and that sound and ergonomics are more important that vanilla.

BP, truly the bass of choice. I have a smoking 25th and a real nice Sterling, but when I go out to play (which has been quite a bit lately :D) the Bongos go with me every time.

Expanding your product line is always a gamble. Thanks for taking the gamble and giving us some truly unique and amazing instruments.

My wife saw the bongo's picture today and she made a hypothesis that it could replace a magic broom as the rock witch vehicle in the 21th century)

Thanks again for the continued input and well wishes. It seems to me that anybody who has "actually" tried one, loves it. That says alot right there. Acceptance or "change", for anything, can range from extremely slow to warp speed. At any rate, change is inevitable. Folks can either embrace it and move forward, or reject it and fall behind. I see the Bongo as moving forward.

Just got a Bongo DD2 4HH and I am a believer. Incredible feel, sound, and playability.
I really struggled with ordering a PDN Bongo but the BigAl 5 SSS kept calling my name at this particular time.

If a 10th anniversary issue comes out, I'm in the line until I get one!

Every venue I ever brought my Bongo to had to alter their house and stage bass EQ. The Bongo pre is powerful like that.

Interesting statement... not sure what it means but Bongos have been a great hit. I'm trying to keep my Bongo & still grab a Reflex HH5 now, leaving my collection all EBMM.

Personally I like tonal variety so I tried other brands but they aren't tonally versatile so they never make a gig. Props to EBMM for the innovations, more than a 2 band EQ, tired styling, various pickups & placements etc. Good stuff

As for the OP
The Bongo is just a solid player man. I play mine sitting down all the time, dont even have a strap for it. No problems at all

yep, its just an "in the know" kind of thing. We knuckleheads get it, the rest of bassdom didn't, and they are the worse off because of it.
