koogs did the guy have my laptop?

Great result...my how you have matured my friend....a few years ago the funeral home would be asking this losers mother if she wanted maple or alder....

Well, hopefully, the guitard will take this as a much needed wake up call so his mother doesn't end up answering that question, anyway.

I'm glad you got your bass back, koogs. I hope your band can fill the void painlessly so you can enjoy playing it live. :D

Very true....however, why bury an empty box....it's a waste of money...;) ...LOL...

I don't know....I am a product of training and I still revert back to that even though I don't want to. Jack has told people..."He has that look in his eyes."...and with that....I can do things that are reactive, yet don't think of the consequences.

Really...I am glad that I have friends here who "know" me and help keep my head on straight. I would like nothing better than this world to be a happy place for everyone...but it isn't....I just have to make my own positives as you told me last night. Big Poppa...thanks for the time on the phone....I really appreciate it.

Jack, as always, your guidance is always taken seriously by me....more than you know.

Beth, as always, enjoyed the conversation. Really made my day talking to you. You rock!

When I first read this I thought it was a p!sstake on that Jean Pierre guy, since it sounded like the exact same situation at first reading. Only, this time we didn't have to take up a collection to buy the bass back from the pawn shop, which is a good thing, all things considered. Glad you got your bass back so fast, and you didn't do anything you might regret later on when you're sharing a cell with Bubba.

I'm glad Koogs got his bass back, but what ever happened to Jean-Frédéric?

Seems like he disappeared after he got his bass back.

Wow, what a story. Koogs, I'm really glad everything worked out for you. It a terrible thing to have something stolen from you. Back when I was a Berklee friends of mine had gear stolen at least once a semester. It was like losing a child. Terrible.

But all's well that ends well. Sounds like you made some very mature decisions on handling this too. :)

Congrats on getting your bass back Koogs. You did it the right way. I've got my stolen-gear stories too, ... seems like a lot of us do....but never a favorite bass, you did well to keep your head on straight.

And Lisa?

Let's hope Azzy hangs around :D

Hey hey, you guys ain't gonna get rid of me that quickly ;) I've worked hard to build up a reputation of sorts on this board!!! Of course, it's all lies, but hey :) We are VERY thankful with everything you have all done for us. I may go a bit quiet in the next few weeks as we are hoping to move by month's end, and with me in first few weeks of new jobs, things are tricky, but there's NO WAY you lot are going to get shot of MOI!!!!!

MWAH HA HAAAAAAAAA :D I'm one of Sterling's chicks remember! It's my job to papercut the non-believers... when I'm not busy jumping out of planes that is...

Anyway - Koogs - am so happy this has all worked out for you, and that you are taking the moral high ground in this situation. And I hope the guy concerned manages to sort himself out as it's a sad state of affairs. However that is NO excuse (although I am perhaps a bit harsh on the burglary issue... ahem  ) - but I'm so glad that things have worked out much more positively than initially thought :)

Obviously, he is no longer with us. He did not show up last night at practice (imagine that) and his gear is still at our practice spot. Some people have told me I should take it and what not. I will not do that.

Let the pawn shop owner that his gear is there and maybe he can get a court order to seize it so that he has some way of getting his money back.

He got his stuff. Wouldn't come around when I was there....I possibly couldn't imagine why...but, he is cleared out. The pawn shop owner has filed charges and it is out of my hands.

The good part...my bass is back where she belongs and that is all that matters.

Azzy....good to see you are staying...;) I mean, Big Poppa is the supreme chick magnet....what would you do if you left!?!?!? :D
