To Luke or not to Luke!!!!

Ok, lame topic of the day but just got back from seeing Luke in UK, being that i own a reg Luke in blue and a JP, i thought i was happy with this.
But is there any shame in getting another luke just for the sake of a different finish, bear in mind i wont be able to stretch to a BFR!!!! So just looking at regular used Luke's which i alread have but for the sake of having a second in another colour?!?!?!?! mmm.....what to do!

Yep, been in the same place, not too long ago actually.

I decided against getting another Luke, and getting something "inbetween" my Luke and Axis SS, so I'm going for a Silo special with HSS.

I'm afraid that, when I have two of the same guitars, one will be left unplayed most of the time, which is a waste (of beautifull guitar AND money). At the moment my time is divided more or less equally between Luke and ASS.

Go for another one lol. Some people like Having different guitars. Some like the same. I used to have a JP and SS but always ended up going back to my Luke, so I decided to stick with them lol. I've made sure that each one is slightly different though aswell so each one still feels or sounds a bit different I.e my mark 1 has the Floyd rose and SA single coils. The BFR's have the tone block, one is gauge 10. Tuned to drop D etc.

This is the correct answer and the reason for buying a second Luke.

There is no shame in wanting two of the same. (Just ask anyone who dated somebody with a twin sibling!) You can have that second Luke and not have to justify it. Hell, sell the JP and get a THIRD Luke!

I have multiple Lukes, but l mainly play one, just my Dargie, it's all up to you, l have no regrets buying my other Lukes, but they are mainly limited run ones, My BFR Bahama Blue, My Dargie 2, My Luke 1 and soon to receive Limited Ed. True Gold.

Yeah, its strange, i really have always wanted a Axis to add to the brood but never had one, but when you see the pictures of the guys who have a collection of one type it makes you think why not!!!

Lukeuser - the True Gold Limited Edition it is not just a different finish as the pick-ups are EMG-X, the neck is all rosewood, which is a very different sound, and it is a BFR.

Ahoy Doc. I made mention of it being a 'BFR' as the OP said he couldn't see his way to affording one.
What makes a BFR is oft discussed, and it is not necessarily a mahogany tone block, although that is common. If a guitar merits the 'finest vintage' label then the guys at Musicman give it that honour.
In this case, the rosewood neck will be a significant change in sound from the standard maple/rosewood with the usual alder body.
