mwah... some ppl would rather have an original crunch lab at the bridge position instead of the trem. makes it easier to sell. and setting them up becomes cheaper too. just 2 cents cuz i got a jp7 anyway :D

I dont care so much about the trem but would love a crunch lab!!!

Hmmmm, maybe I could do without the trem!

It's just a Petrucci with no trem...

I almost quoted Lefty thinking it was Pete.... how confusing!

But a 7 stringer SBMM would be great for us just starting to get our feet wet in the 7 string department.

Dont get me wrong I would love a trem but Im a hard tail guy and would rather have a great pickup stock than a whammy bar!!! If I could have both that would be the ideal setup though

if getting a trem made cost effectively is the issue, I'd say go without too. If I was buying one, I'd rather have a trem, but it would be cooler to have the JP7 without trem than none at all.

I'm sure Pat will get back to us if there's some info. Very cool about all the good vibes towards the SBMM products.

On the pickup front- likely you're going to see their own pickups in there rather than something from Dimarzio, as has been the way so far. It's all about cost control. That's not a bad thing, guys.

Thats the way I am David Coralles. I dont want to invest in a JP7 and get sick of a 7 string in a month.

I'm in the same boat, i want a 7 string, but dont want to spend huge amounts of money (especially with the prices here) on a EBMM jp7 only to find its not my thing.. but a SBMM jp7 would be a welcome piece of gear :)

As I said... quite a few non 7 stringers that would buy these guitars up if they were made.

And we 7 stringers would welcome you with open arms to the wonderful world of LOW B!

I think a Sterling JP70 (see what I did there :D) would be a great addition to the SBMM line. I'm sure I could get at least 5 of my students to buy them.
