WHAT a piece of equipment!

3.5kg of 500 raw watt power.. it made ALL the acoustic guitars in our shop zing along.. hehe.. had to stay away from any open string notes :D

its like the bongo of amps.. just a lil turn on the filter knobs and you got a whole new ballpark to play in!!
i could do 80ies mark king zappa zappa thumbing with razor sharp and supercontrollable dynamics, or lil-gritty tube warmth thumps.. and then everything in between :)

and not once did i touch the eq.. hehe.. hi mid and lo mid is like on the 4band eq bongo! i can see myself growing old while experimenting with all the options!

i now understand what people are so excited about! i am too!! that ampeg rig needs to be sold right away!!! :D

MrM

ps: its so small you can fit it in the notecompartment in your gigbag!!! its DA PERFECT gigging amp!!!

My exact impressions when I tried one in Jacksonville at GC. The size is killer for it's output! But alas...I'm content with my Eden stuff. :)

I have a LM II and a 2x10 cab. It's so nice to have such a light-weight, great sounding little rig. It's so easy to carry around, my back is thankful.:)

Ah, finally someone he has seen the light!

Now pair that with a MB 104R cab, and you find yourself turning your volume down in band settings.

+1

I shelfed my Ampeg head as soon as I heard/bought an F1. The damn thing fits in my gig bag. What more can you ask for? I bring a gig bag to rehearsal and nothing else. My bass and F1.

hehe.. well it was worth a shot.. baird, ontario, canada, mm and markbass.. lots of common things :D

also i read the magazine that markbass sent to our store.. heh.. i feel pritty stupid for saying almost the same thing they printed in it!
but then again, ive experienced just what they tried to communicate and i did write this before i read it in the paper.. and that somehow makes me feel good.. hehe.. like i can trust my ears and judgement after all ;)

I just did the same thing this week. I tried the Markbass LMII through the 2*10, sweeeeet!! (of course with a Stingray 5H) then I tried it through the 4*10, HUGE!!

I also tried the 15" combo which was also real nice and compact and punchy. But I think the LMII and 2*10 will suit my needs best. It will even fit in the boot of my coupe!!

Wow, you imported a Pontiac? :D

(NB. Translating for the benefit of our US readers, "boot" is "trunk")

That's the convenience of 2x10 cabs. I fit a 2x10 in the trunk of my Focus hatch and another 2x10 on the back seat. Granted, I've got to take the family wagon to a gig when I want to lug the 8x8, but for rehearsal and small gigs 2x10s are the way to go.

I drive one of these...

And believe it or not, a Markbass Traveller 102P will fit like a glove in the compartment under the hood/bonnet. Don't forget, mid placed engine!:p

Hm... that makes me wonder whether a bass and a MB combo could make to fit into the trunk of a Z3. That would be hilarious!

Nope.... tried the Z3 before I bought the Porsche.:) Seriously.... it was one of the deciding factors, whether the MB gear would fit!!:D

LOL!! But I also had car dealers giving me very curious looks when I took out my bass double bag and try to fit into the trunk before deciding whether I want to do a test drive or not! :D

HSV Coupe GTS? Australian GTO.

Sorry guys I didn't mean to hijack the thread. It is the origin of the most recent Pontiac GTO, Vauxhall Monaro and HSV derivatives as well. It's a true blue Holden Monaro (2005, last model of the era). Great car! Due to to U.S. design regs requiring the gas tank to be located up gainst the back seats, the boot (trunk) is quite small. I certainly can't fit a standard HSC in there as its too long. Gig bag only. I haven't measured it yet but I expect I could quite comfortably fit the gig bag, LMII and the 2*10 with room to spare.

Im lucky enough to have a small car with an too large for any car trunk. Ive been known to fill my trunk with 4 by 10s and 2 15s easily. Even my mesa powerhouse 1000 fits, or I believe so (the box it came in fit nicely, havent tried the actual thing tho).

I tried some markbass stuff and was pretty impressed. For some reason IM not convinced this stuff is roadworthy. Anyone own markbass gear for a long time?

One year. Touring, going to rehearsal, doing venues in bars, etc.
No bag, no case, no rack.
Many temperature and humidity changes.
No fuss. Constant tone. No trouble.

My best bassplayer friend is now selling his Ashdown ABM to get an LMII, exactly like I did last year (also had an ABM). He has been impressed by tone consistancy, light weight, tone, volume and dynamics.

Hi-

I'm interested in this bass amplifier and was just wondering if anyone had tips for set up/maintenance.

I switched from guitar to bass to be in a friend's band and feel a little lost in what to look for in a bass combo.

I'm using old gear from another band as we're getting started.

thanks-
Stevo

Long-time Markbass user here, starting with an S450 3-4 years ago, and adding a Littlemark 250 earlier this year for a back-up/practice amp (with Eden 1x10). No issues, no problems. Wonderful sound! I run them through a Bag End 15 and/or Ea VL 210.
