Just checked my UPS tracking number and it says 01/03/2013 4:09 A.M. Out For Delivery

Told my wife she has to stay home all day and watch for it..

Can’t wait to get home from work.. Or maybe I will get sick this afternoon… <cough, cough>

Hey I was wondering do most new Bongos include a MM hard shell case? Mine did but I have read some other places where it sounds like the Case is not Always included.. Was just wondering..

And do you guys put Strap locks on any of you bases? (Including the Bongo)

I actually bought some Ernie Ball Strap Locks but doubt I will install them myself unless its super easy..

Do you know how to turn a screwdriver (without poking an eye out)? If you do, it's super easy. ;) Happy New Bongo Day!

Oh Cool.. Yes I think I can do that.. :)

I had read reviews of the locks on Amazon and some said they had to drill holes etc.. BUT this was for other brand Basses and Guitars they were installing them on..

Yeah, the EBMM Super Locks are designed to be especially easy to install on EBMM instruments; Same screw dimensions as the original screws, etc. No drilling necessary.

Cool, ...it's Bongo 4 H, or I believe You thought SH like Single H, right?

Pretty nice color combo, ... body color looks exactly like my car!

I really like those new tuning machines!

Yes. H.. I dont know why I keep saying SH..

In reading a lot on TalkBass it seemed like the consensus was that most Bongo owners liked the H setup over the others.. So I went with it.. Knowing I could always get it modified later if I wanted too.

But I think I will be more than happy with the H..

you will be super happy with that bass... very nice!

PS, be sure to use the screws that come with the Ernie Ball straplocks to install them on the bass, they are a different length (shorter, if my memory serves me correctly - and the factory-installed ones will bottom-out long before they get tight)

Thanks for that Info. Will do..

So I take it that most of you recommend using Locks? Just wondering since I am new to all this..

That is beautiful. Congratulations on a great bass. Is that Ice Blue? I love that colour. I think that colour demands a pearlescent pickguard though. :)

Btw, I don't use strap locks. Instead, what I do is make sure the strap I'm using uses a nice sturdy, reasonably thick material at the ends where you connect it to the bass. The stock EBMM strap buttons have a wider flange than most strap buttons and I find that if the strap material is fairly stiff, and you don't weaken the strap material by taking it off and putting it back on a lot, then the strap will be quite secure.

Thanks!

Color is called Sky Blue..

I was wondering that too about the straps.. Well I had to get me a Nice Black Leather Ernie Ball Strap to go with it..

No, you don't want to modify it.

Let's see...Bass costs about say, $1500+. Strap locks less than $20 maybe? I would say that is a GREAT investment for piece of mind. I have had them on ALL of my BALLS, and have NEVER dropped a bass yet.

And... I already purchased the Locks and they look pretty cool.. If it really is easy to install I will go ahead and use them since I have em..

Very nice, congratulations! Love the color too. With all of my Music Man basses, I have Ernie Ball Superlocks. Very easy to install too. Unscrew the factory strap buttons and screw the new ones in. Then add the other piece to your strap and you are done. Very easy to do and they are very high quality. Never had a single problem with any of mine.
