of an Era, but...:(

After 6 years of playing my JP7, I felt it was time, time to pass it on to those who can appreciate it more, cause really it sat in the case, so sad and so lonely...sniff, however all is not doom and gloom, because with the end comes a new beginning!:)
I traded my JP7 for a JP6. Black Sapphire 2009 JP6...MMMMMM so black and so beautiful. To be quite honest I didn't think I was going to like the neck, but WOW!!! I just need to adjust it, lower that action right down and soon I will be rockin!
We both got lucky. It's nice to see two individuals who obviously care about their instruments, and even though mine was older, they were both in perfect condition. He even threw in $100.00 to sweeten the deal!

Well I leave you with a few pics, for I must be off!

Thanks Mike and Glen, hot dang I am in love, I have been playing with a nice clean twang for about 2 hours straight, and no fatigue whatsoever (.10's), what a beautiful guitar! Thanks EBMM! It honestly feels like I just came back from the store with a brand new JP, it is that sweet...God I hope I don't get GAS now!

Clean up that headstock, you punk! *Smack

I know I gave the guy heck, I said what are you doing, they're the easiest things in the world to change!!!
I eventually got them trimmed up. Set it up nice and low, and wow, I thought the pups would have given me more of a challenge, tone wise, but no, I had sweet tone right off the get go. Might have to re-think my love affair with the Axis!!!

Thanks guys!

congrats on the trade Raz ! hope both parties are happy !!! \m/

Oh we both were/ are. He didn't even plug it in. I had set up my rig for a nice JP tone, but he didn't want to plug in, he just sat there, playing with a smile. A very special moment, and I was not as sad as I thought I would be...probably selling it would have made me sad, but trading for a JP6 was wonderful!

Thanks beej...yes I have dedicated this year to playing guitar, with a bit more vigour, actually practising, learning songs/scales instead of guitar ...can't say the word!

From what you have written, you are one lucky soul. Way to go!

The extra money for groceries & strings will work out nicely...

Isn't there a picture out there of JP with his Black Sparkle ?? YouTube ??

You traded the barebones PRB for this one? I'd say that's a legit trade, indeed. I like this colour more.

Yeah I guess I was extremely lucky, the turn around since posting the guitar was like a couple of days, it worked out well for both of us.

Heh. I try. I like the harder-to-find exotic/loud colours.
