Jman (I am assuming that is his name) is a lucky son to have a dad as thoughtful and supportive of his music as you!

Please post pics when you get a chance.

A cool night...

Thanks for all of the replies. To be honest, he is a wonderful son, straight A's and a nationally known baseball player so he earned this and it's about what a good kid he is... not about the dad I am. Just blessed to be able to get the JP6 for him...

So he had NO idea it was coming. He goes to open the plain brown box and just flips out when he pulls out the case and reads "MusicMan"... he was shaking as he pulled it out of the box and opened the case!! Never seen him react that way for any gift before. Definitely a memorable moment.

On top of that, the place where he takes lessons selects a few students each year to take part in a "school of rock" type band. He has been asked in the past but it always conflicted with baseball so this fall was his first opportunity to do it... he is the only H.S. freshman and the rest of the band are seniors. They will be playing at a local Dave & Busters in mid-November and his first reaction was of course that he will use the JP6, especially since one of the songs has an acoustic intro...

Took a lot of pictures that I'll upload tonight when I get home. Will probably be asking questions about the best way to wire it into his amps, etc. Thanks again for all of the support, can't believe how active this board is!!!

Great story!

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I think I was equally excited when I opened my first EBMM a few years ago.. except I was about 34 years old.. haha.

That's awesome, truly awesome. I agree that pic #4 from the first group is just perfect. Don't forget to invite your son to the forum. The crack has been administered :)
