Tone block on Bongo?

That is an interesting thought. Just wondering if you insert a tone block on the bongo...what would you have to top it with. Basswood then paint? Maple top but possible lose some contours?

It would be interesting to hear if it has been done and what the results were.

yeah could be, but it's bloody ages 'til the 10th anni of the Bongo!
Fwiw, I'll be ready when the 10th anni nears, that is one bass I cannot be without!

It doesn't need a tone block - the electronics would obliterate it!

there is no such thing as need.

I think a lot of guys that have heard Dave Larue's bongo live as well as went to either the factory open house or Jack's party are very interested in the mahog tone block.
