LOL !! heheheeh... one thing, I do think he plays some ass kicking stuff and hard to master too, but if u have a bunch of fans waiting in the freezing cold street for ur autograph....well he could do like the other guys, they came out singed stuff took pics and whent to the bus early, yngwie came an hour later no pics no handshaked no nothing, and we had to give the stuff to sign to this guy that went in the bus and came back with my ticket with some doodling that kinda resembles a signature......just doesn't feels right

:DIs it a good Geezz or a bad Geezz.. to whom? lol??;)

What I want to say I can't due to this being a family oriented forum (which I respect by the way)....so the Geez in question would be a sarcastic type towards YJM....

To answer someone's question - Rock stars break guitars because they are endorsed (usually) and have a bunch more sitting in the wings to replace it. I would (if I was a rock star) would find a kid in the audience and give it to him to try and motivate the next guitar hero.....but that's me.......then again, I'm no rock star.

Koogie - I guess it was my rant that you answered here. I do understand that guitar endorsers have multiple instruments. I guess the point I was trying to make was that a guitar is always a guitar regardless of how many you have, and I couldn't get myself to break a guitar even if I wanted to since I love the instrument. I do however understand that it is Rock N' Roll after all and that showmanship is great if done tastefully. That's taking nothing away from YJM's playing and technique which are among the best in the world. Yngwie was the reason I picked up the guitar back in 1989 after I heard "Far beyond the sun" :) I hope this clarifies stuff a little bit.

hahahahaha, that's funny stuff guys. That's pretty cool that you got the ticket signed MrHyde, but how long exactly did it take for the guys to come out. I was outside for a little bit, but I didnt feel like waiting. And are you serious that he didnt even sign the ticket for you in front of you??? See I guess my intuition is very good, and I didnt care much about his signature. I enjoyed the show, but I didnt care about anything else after that. The people were going crazy when he threw the picks out to the crowd. During the show that was fine, pushing and all. But after it was over, the guitar tech threw out a handfull and people started jumpig on them pushing me as I was walking out from the crowd and I just started ppushing the hell out of the bastards  . Anyway, I CANT believe you forgot those damn things. Too bad that you came late cuz I called you a few times and I actually thought that you were inside already that's why you didnt pick up, and I had extra ear plugs on me TOOOO. I was also actaully more towards the left side of the stage maybe 2 feet from the stage. Next time man, maybe the Michael Schenker Group concert on January 4th???

WHAT???? Were you next to this big metal guy all in black kinda fat with long hair and glasses and he had a girlfriend that was actually kinda hot? Was the Russian chick blond at all? Cuz I saw a pretty hot chick that looked Russian, and I would know since I'm from Europe ;) . I'm suprised you got that close to the stage man with all the damn people around. What were you wearing, and dont tell me you had glasses  .

YEa I most likely saw you man, since I was looking towards that direction a lot :D ;) . I was wearing also a black long sleeve shirt that was kind of body fitting and I had rolled up sleeves with a P-coat strapped around my waste and ear phones hangin around my neck, with also fairly longer hair about 6'3 in height. However I think EVERYONE was wearing black at that show lol so it would be hard to tell by the color of our shirts lol. The Russian chick had a guy with her or no, cuz the one I was lookin at was with some ****** in glasses. So how did you like the show overall man?

I'm glad I had the ear plugs, because now I would have ringing in my ears. Plus it was pretty damn loud, cuz when I took out the ear pluggers AFTER he stoped playing it was loud as it was with people screaming and all. Anyway, next time we'll coordinate better so that we can hang at a concert and talk in person about EBMM's and such, till then I'll see around here of COURSE :D . By the way, when is your JP supposed to be expected? Maybe we should meet up and jam one time and compare your JP with my Silo  .

I went to see Yngwie a few months ago down here in FL, and he rocked the house like it was his last show ever! There was no opening band, and there was maybe 200 people there tops. They were awesome. It was a lot of instrumental stuff. They even went off stage, and thenn came back and did a three song encore. Plus, that's a pretty mean front snap kick he's got delivering picks to the audience. I met the drummer, but Yngwie dipped out right after the show and just went and got back on the bus. His wife was hanging out, and she was okay to talk to, but she wasn't too happy about people taking pictures of his rig with their cell phones. Okay, I'm guilty, I think I might have snapped a few shot myself. People were touching his guitars and stuff, and she was freaking. She was like "If Yngiwe finds out, he's gonna lose it!" But is was a very small venue, very personal. Kinda like going to the local bar (which it pretty much is) and seeing some of the greats. Vai was there a while back. It gets a lot of top name clientelle. But he really did put on a fantastic show, I was very impressed! I'm glad you guys had a good time!

Oh yeah, man I totally agree with you. I was being more sarcastic than anything else. I hate it when a guitar gets smashed and there is some poor kid out in the audience who could have used it. Yngwie is definitely a very talented player and all, I agree. I like to listen to him time to time.....Again, I agree with you 100%, QUIT SMASHING GUITARS!

some dudes smash guitars but in a good way ... i know a few years ago that Mike Dirnt from Green Day used to play a MX F**** for the last few songs ... smash it, have the band sign it and theyd auction it for charity. thats pretty cool (raise 1k for charity off a $300 axe - not bad)

but ya ... i never got smashing guitars "just cause". i remember being young and wishing for a guitar, seeing one get smashed and thinking "man, id kill to have any guitar and that guy just threw one away!"

To do that is cool. I will always support something for a good cause like that. But, just to smash it for the "look how cool I am" factor, please, the 70's called and want their axe back......do something else, it is overplayed and again, there is a kid in the audience that would love it.
