Question Tort pickguard on the Candy Red Bongo?

Hi guys, ...considering to order a tort PG for my Candy Red single H Bongo 5 banger, ...what da ya think about that?
Does anybody got that PG/color combo on a Bongo? Please share a pic if does?

Candy red, to me, looks like o more modern and flashy colour. Tort looks more oldschool and traditional. So i wouldnt go for this combo. But what about black or white pearl? On red i would go for black pearl or just plain black as it is. To me tort looks beter on the traditional finishes as found on the classic series.

If you want to make a change I would think of Pearl White or plain White. Tort seems to be not fitting in my opinion.

No offense, it looks surprisingly good, but... for a bongo in this colour i find that there are beter options. Plain black like "keko" has now looks a bit better imo.

Ohh yeah, ...looks better than I thought!!!

Matching with rosewood board and gives a modern looking Bongo kinda old school touch.

I'll seriously think about it.

It's a cheap mod that you can always switch back, I say go for it.

I got mine used, and it came with white pearloid and tort. I put the white pearloid on it and never looked back.

I have an abalone pickguard on mine and love it. It really makes the candy apple red pop even more.

Hi Keko, not logged in for a while how you doing ?
Black Pearl is what I would go for or even full on Abalone! the reflective nature of either of these would suite that Candy the best, make everything stand out !

That black pearl is an option too, ...I must sleep over, ...just reserved one non-EBMM 4 banger, so PG will wait for a while, ...thanks everybody for Your inputs!
