That's very nice... I like the plain fingerboard with the binding.

+ 1.

Of course, fretboard dots are for the audience, trying to learn what you play ! (hmm... not sure anyone has ever tried to learn one of my lines...)

Sometimes fretboard dots help other musicians you play with to see quickly where your playing.

is that an aftermarket neck? I dont remember doing one bound without the dots.....

Maybe DUDLEY can help

Looks like it has the logo on it, but that's not saying much, considering there's logo stickers on the bay all the time.

Hello Music Man Friends,

******************************* Torture Tuesdays featured Bass today.

*

This was and is a Ernie Ball music man Stingray bass that was Purchased New as a Full Bass.

As many Ernie Ball Stingrays as I own I just wanted something different.

In the past Ernie Ball had did a few bound necks and I got*to wanting one myself.* ""Real Bad""

*

As for many years I've been on the hunt with no luck so decided to have this one retro fitted *myself.

With all due respect for this Ernie Ball Company I Love so much I had to make sure the work was done with the very best Luthier I could find.

*

Trust me it did cost but what a job it was when it was all*done as you can see.

The fret board was removed and replaced, bound head stock and fret board was*bound. ""YES"", hehehe

Had to Have it, lol

Now the body still had the Marks under the bridge where you could see for the Strings thru when EB did the Run For Japan a while back.

Japan ordered 200 strings thru I believe and this probably was meant to be one but was left over here in the USA.

*

So we just finished drilling the body and that's where you see the strings Thru.

The End result is the Bass you see today. Plays like a dream and sounds as good as ever.

Also Thank You too All my USA & UK friends for all the very cool and sweet emails i get daily, As you know i try to reply to everyone but times i can't* always for there's just too many.
