I was at the Newcastle gig as well on Tuesday night.

I ended up pretty much at the back of the hall as getting a trip arranged from Scotland to Newcastle was all a bit last minute and I didn't get my tickets early enough! Still got a good view and thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing Lucious' Dargie and the BFRs.

The guys seemed much more relaxed compared to when I saw them on the 'first gig of the tour' night in London last year, especially with the newer songs like Falling In Between.

Would've been great to have got my Luke's trem plate signed but hey, maybe next time! :)

Thanks Lucious for playing in the UK outside London for a few gigs - it's not much further from Newcastle to Edinburgh or Glasgow! Hint hint for next tour ;)

The last time I made fun of one of your shirts, she said, "I buy all of them."

I said, "Well, I was making fun of it in a GOOD way."

Sklar is kicking our ass and its amazing he stepped in with little rehearsal and has done a spot on job. Now all I gotta do is get him a Bongo.

You want my Italians to talk to him? We'll show him the Bongo Way.

Hey.. had a blast in the UK. Nice to get a few shows under the belt. Oh yeah, that was a guy in the audience holding his had up in front of the "boys". hahaha

I love ALL my guitars and tried to show all of the new ones off. My old black sparkle is a fave as it is seasoned and has alot of sweat in it but the new ones will get there love as well. Such awesome pieces of art and they ALL feel so good to play.
Thanks for the kind words. Getting good reviews, which is scary as we always get raked thru the coals. After all these years nice to get a little love. haha

I really do appreciate the support from you guys. We aint some "hip band" but we give all we got and thanks to you all I still have a job.
Hope to meet you guys out there somewhere as we will be touring all year everywhere.

Sklar was pretty amazing and a really cool presence on stage. It really felt like he had been playing those songs as long as you other guys...and that fanned fret bass looked really cool (not as cool as a Bongo of course ;) ).

Thanks again Lucious for a great night...I didnt appreciate having to venture out into Bristol town 10 mintues before the show started to find an ATM machine cos Mrs H wanted a T-shirt!!..but other than that it was a fantastic night..really looking forward to the DVD!

Talking of Mrs H, what did she say on the way down in the car..."wouldnt it be great if they did Pamela or I'll Supply the Love"!! Toto deliver...FACT :D

And for the record, I cant name one "hip" band that are as cool or work their asses off as much as you guys.

A friend at work plays a Black Machine guitar which are hand built in London, Uk. They do a fanned fret 8 string which i saw being played at a guitar show last year but i never got to play it. It sure looks cool but i wonder how much you would have to adapt your playing to get the most out of one.
