Some really great soloing from Prince on this version. I actually like his take on George's classic more than Luke's.

I'm a huge fan of Prince... The guy is the absolute master of funk... Check out his One Night Alone CD, Live in Las Vegas DVD, Rainbow Children CD,...

Although he doesn't play EBMM guitars, he's still great! :D

I have no idea where the Paul Gilbert video came from, but I'd like to see the rest of it!

Cheers,

You can buy that from the Mike Portnoy website. They called themselves "Yellow Matter Custard" and did a one-off concert in New York and recorded it for DVD and CD. Apparently Mike has always wanted to do a Beatles tribute and put one together with this lineup. Very cool stuff.

Yep, that's true. The double CD is really cool but the DVD is "Currently Out of Stock"

Wow. Two things really struck me.

1. Prince is f*&king amazing.

2. The Beatles were ridiculously talented, in every aspect of musical composition and performance. Absolutley amazing.

Wow. That guy plays with his entire soul.

Question from an ignorant bass player: What kind of neck pickup has he swapped the standard EMG for, out of curiosity?

EMG SAV, from my best observations.

Verily, verily, his guitar gently wept.

An example of why Luke has been my favorite guitarist for over 20 years.

Ya know, he's said he had a bad night that night. Can you imagine how on fire he is on a good night? :D

I thought it was an SLV with the cover removed, so that the loss of volume of the pup was a little less (the neck-single coil on the Luke isn't that loud)...or something like that:eek:

It could also be his Fernandez sustainer
