Touch-up paint?

I have an annoying little ding in my Luke Blue Luke 2. I'd like to drop fill it if possible! Does anyone gave any idea if any commercially available automotive paint that might do my job? You know, like BMW Samoa Blue or such like? Thanks!

For my Silo Special I found that it's far easier to find nail varnish in a reasonably close matching colour. Ask your wife/girlfriend/sister for ideas. Apparently Steve Morse's wife used to do that to one of his guitars.

That said, I've never used it, despite the occasional ding. Unless you are willing to do the job properly and go whole hog and have that area sanded and smoothed to match the rest of the finish, it'll never look like anything other than a filled ding, which I personally would find more annoying.

I scarred the back of my old Morse with a Dremel way back ... I did the same thing. Found a good shade of blue nail polish to touch it up with.

IIRC all the MM colors are actually car colors (the way Leo did it in the beginning). I wish they would give a more specific list.

Is the ding making bare wood visible? Sometimes the ding is an indentation and the best way to make it less visible is to fill it clear, e.g. superglue, and then do an abrasive polishing over the fix.

I believe that they had an arrangement whereby she would touch up his guitar, but he had to paint her toes.

In the store I went to, there were more shades of blue than there were of pale yellow, and I found a pretty good match!

My Luke blue Luke II has acquired a few dings, all caused by my own clumsiness, but I'm not repairing them, it's part and parcel of it getting used, I choose to let the guitar age gracefully rather than give it Botox.

It adds character to the guitar.

Look up Kustom Shop automotive paints. Take an even closer look at their flakes.
