Maybe he was mystified by the finish, went into a trance, started head banging like a psycho, and went for a 'big finish' before realizing what he had done......

Or maybe he was a newb unworthy of holding such holy grail, and Mr. Petrucci sensed this infraction, zapping it out of his hands with his lazer eyes and melting the guys fingers with his heat vision.

Do it! It takes less time to make a baby than it does to change your strings (even with EBMM locking tuners)

Wow. I'd hate to be your girlfriend!

(if I were a girl, that is!) :D

Dude - your GF, she might be looking at more than just you at your next gig. :p

Actually you might quite like it, you'd have the house, the PA system and most of the money from selling my guitars!!
Bitter...me???

Anyway, how's the OP doing on deciding about this guitar?

Well I'll talk to the wife later about changing her strings, but more importantly I found another store with a Desert Gold JP7 which looks incredible.
I wasn't sure what I'd think of DG untill I saw it in person, but I think it might just solve all my problems.

Thanks for all the good advice (apart from the girlfriend stuff which was all pretty dodgy :D )....

The Arts Music Store in Newmarket (different store than the one in question).
They have a nice selection of balls which has me thinking I need more than one...

My Red Axis had a small chip on the finish of the headstock when I bought it and its never bothered me. It was repaired when I got it though. Depends on what kind of deal they will cut you. I would buy with a chip - but thats just me!

Well I don't want to get these guy in trouble or anything, or seem like I'm bashing your dealers.

It's north of Toronto though and slightly to the right, up Highway 48

Ohh, Ohh. I know, I know. L & M. Correct?

Welcome to the forums, by the way.:D The Desert Gold sounds yummy. Got for it.

My wife seems to think she should get a baby out of the deal if I get a new guitar - but that's gotta be worth, what, 7 new guitars??? 8 if it's a well behaved kid???

Funny that. When I got my balls, I just had to find a new place in the apartment to put them (mostly under the bed). When we found out we were going to have a baby, I had to buy a house to put the baby...

Also, guitars do not have colic, wake up at 5:00 am after a gig that goes past midnight, eat the cat food and make toxic diapers.

All jokes aside, my baby is 10 mo. old now and a chiropractor took care of the colic. Now she's great fun and happy all the time, but she still wakes up at 5:00 am etc. etc.
