It's a nice finish but to me it always kinda looks like the paint was thinned down too much. It really depends on what kind of wood grain is on the body for me and if the grain pattern is really nice then I think to myself...man, if that was natural it'd be killer.

Trans white always reminds me of my kitchen table.

Lol :)

Just noticed that it was in Peterborough Canada - haha - simple things I guess! Didn't realise there was a Peterborough there... we do get around!

Hey Ernie Ball Could be the very first company on earth to do a LE trans White with a Matching Trans White headstock, No one has attempted that yet. It'll be a tough one but EB can do it.

No,no,no Trans White would make a great Ltd Edition. :)

It could be the Dargie Delight of 07. Just think White Russian instead of Martini!

Think of the challenge of trying to get the headstock colour to match the body colour.

And how about adding the string through the body feature of 30th Anniversary?

"Trans White" is a great finish.

But there's nothing custom about it.

Introduced in 1992 (and continued to circa 1994) as an optional premium finish.

For some reason, it appears to be rare (BP might chime in here).

IMO, the finish is more like a Trans Mushroom as opposed to "Trans White".

A Tort pg seems to make the Mushroom appear more pinkish.

A Matt Black pg gives the Mushroom a more over all Grey/Black hue.

I stand corrected on the introduction date being 1992. Just checking some early literature and found what appears to be the 1990 Catalogue. Trans White was offered for the SR4, SR5, Sabre Bass and Silhouette Guitar. There's no Trans White mentioned in the Catalogue for the previous year.
