Well... of course you can use it, the thing with lemon oil is that it dries the wood{supposedly} over time

Maybe that's what happened to my older (but not THAT old) SR4. The maple fretboard looks very dry to me, so I'll have to dig out my BC gunstock oil and wax and re-hydrate my baby's neck. Can I get a confirmation on the use of gunstock wax on a maple fretboard post-oiling?

I'll head down on Sat. Any special brand Mark?

I've no idea Rod, the label peeled off the bottle a couple of years ago. It was the only orange oil on the shelf at Bunnings that had no preservatives or additives. I was actually looking to buy some oil for my outdoor furniture and stumbled across it in the same section.

I change my strings and wiped off the DNA and crud buildup, and everything about my 10 year old rosewood fretboarded SR4 feels great. Why would i wanna wax a neck?

When you wax a floor you just end up removing the wax a few weeks later so you can wax it again. Personally, I think wood should feel like wood. I need to feel the actual wood of the neck so I know (by natural landmarks) exactly where I am on the neck, by feel alone. I don't like looking at my neck, I perfer looking at the chart. just my 2 cents
