Treble pot - Axis SS

I have a 2005 Axis super sport hardtail. Does anyone know if these guitars come stock with a treble cap?

I'm looking to clean up my distorted tones by simply rolling off some volume.

The volume pots on my Axi are very responsive, and clean up really nicely.

also ....the amount of gain u are using...& the type of amp are both major factors as to how well this concept works.
