I've got a floyd rose trem. on my EBMM Axis. The arm is very stiff when moving it up or down. I'm talking about just the arm movement and not the bridge. I would like the arm to be loose and fall back down when I'm not using it. However, the arm fits tight into the bridge piece and I see no way of making it loose. I'm a novice with the floyd rose system, so I wanted to ask.

thanks, pat

There are 2 ways...on the side of tthe trem where the arm goes into the bridge, there is a set screw. 1.5mm Be careful...the screw is very small and easy to lose if you back it out too far. If that doesn't work, on the underside of the arm, there is a screw that keeps the arm from falling out. You can get to it by removing the trem cover on the back of the guitar. I am n ot positive what size the screw there is, but I bleeb it's 2.5 or 3mm.
