Hi All,

I'm just curious, but how many spring do you recommend with a 9-42 string set ?

Currently I have 3, but I found the trem to hard to move. If i remove one, the trem is too loose.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in Advance ! :D

Tremelo tension is a result of spring tension, number of springs and string tension.

To get a tension somewhere between 2 and 3 springs you can: a) use 2 springs, but increase their tension by tightening the spring claw (the one screwed into the body); b) use 3 springs and loosen the spring claw; or c) try slightly lighter strings.

Whichever method you use, just make sure the bridge still rests firmly against the body when the trem bar is not depressed.

Three. But you can also try two and put them in the middle two claws and outer two bridge holes. This is an in-between tention that works well 'cos they're stretched taughter. But what do I know, any strings smaller than 52-10 is jes silly to me.:D I use my extra trem springs on my drummers' pedal!
