I've reluctantly held off on pulling the trigger on a few AXIS' lately because I can't bring myself to add another of the same guitar to my (small) stable, given all the GAS I have. However, I'm lusting for a Tribute. I haven't seen anything about the Tributes coming as a hardtail. That may push me over the edge FAST. What say you?

hummm I doubt as well the Axis hardtail were not a best seller, just a few of us like the natural simplicity of such a guitar

but who knows, you'll never know with EBMM

Yep HT is where it is at, I have a cool piece coming, not an Axis though, but that's it unless there is a HT Tribute or some really special Ht axis or axis super sport:)

Greens and purples weren't best sellers back in the day either. Let's put it this way, it they release hardtails, I will order at least two in different colors. I've been hoping they would rerelease these for ages. I have 2 guitars that I am pretty much waiting to sell for the purpose of getting another hardtail or two as used ones come along. I'd love to get a hardtail in the same color/shade as Ozzyrule's picture. That blueish purple is just heavenly. There are two used ones on Guitar Center's site, but I'm really not into red. I'm not into amber either and that is one of the other colors that were produced.

I was outbid on a purple HT on eBay about 2 1/2 years ago that was nothing short of dark blue. I REALLY wish I had bid triple on it. I have never seen anything close to it. :( I've done pretty well on eBay lately selling things, so if another hardtail came along, my wife would probably be cool with it without my having to sell any guitars.

Sorry for the dissertation, but the Axis HT is the best guitar I've ever owned. I search eBay and other sites daily, dying to find another in a shade I like. I LOVE having a Humbucker From Hell in the neck position, but I don't want to do that to my only HT I have now.

Out of all of the "first run" tributes, it would be interesting to know how many were pre-ordered by forumites??? If it was a substantial amount, could we petition BP to honor our requests for hard tails???? I'd be in for at least one. Then again, when have I bought just one?

If it was a PDN thing and I could order in the UK then I would seriously consider moving a few things along for a H/T Pink Axis.

we have been through that route many times, and many times it failed in both Guitar and Bass side. The guys at EBMM know what they are doing

Nevertheless, the PDN Luke was a great example of what EBMM could consider doing from forum discussion. But Luke #1 guitar is I guess an easier commitment than the Hardtail Axis
